Belgian national railway operator SNCB/NMBS has awarded its “Future Proof Passenger Information” tender to a consortium of ETC Solutions, GeoSignage and Bartle, with ETC Solutions as prime contractor.
GeoSignage CMS will manage displays and PA systems across the network – up to 4,000 coaches and 550 stations. SNCB/NMBS sets the rules for what is communicated and where, so that real-time train data, delays, incidents and planned works drive the right message automatically – in up to four languages, and above all when services are disrupted. The same system also carries commercial content.
ETC Solutions provides the railway interfaces, real-time data processing and system integration. Bartle contributes project management and local expertise in Belgium.
