GeoSignage CMS has been selected as the content management system for a major public transport project in Helsinki, led by INIT as prime contractor.

The project covers up to 1,700 vehicles across trains, trams and buses operated under HSL. GeoSignage CMS will manage TFT displays, LED signs and onboard audio announcements, providing centralised control of passenger information across the fleet in a hardware-agnostic delivery.

This is the largest project in GeoSignage’s history to date and a significant multi-mode deployment. With this project, GeoSignage continues to position itself at the forefront of hardware-agnostic CMS deliveries for public transport.

We are very pleased to work together with INIT and HSL in delivering this project.

GeoSignage CMS has been selected for two new municipal transport projects in the United States, delivered through white-label partners.

The projects are located in Florida and South Dakota and include onboard TFT passenger information displays across the respective vehicle fleets. GeoSignage CMS operates as the underlying, hardware-agnostic content management platform, enabling centralised control and distribution of passenger information.

These projects further expand GeoSignage’s footprint in North America through partner-led collaborations.

GeoSignage CMS is now live in The Hague, managing TFT displays and onboard audio announcements on the new zero-emission bus fleet.

A total of 102 electric buses will be in operation by summer 2025, all controlled by GeoSignage CMS for passenger information and announcements.

The rollout will continue in 2026, when Stadler trams are added to the deployment.

In collaboration with Icomera, GeoSignage will bring its CMS onboard the trains of two regional operators in Sweden. This marks a long-awaited opportunity to enter the rail sector in our native market.

GeoSignage is excited to announce a new project and partnership with cn-mobility. GeoSignage CMS will be a component of CN Mobilities solution of onboard passenger information delivered to ÖBB in Austria.

Icomera has awarded GeoSignage an extension of a ferry project in North America, including CMS and AVL software updates.

GeoSignage, in partnership with Tenix, ARS T&TT, and HTM, will implement its CMS in The Hague. The system will manage dynamic display content and audio announcements for buses and trams. Starting with new electric buses at the end of 2024, the idea a full fleet rollout over the next years.

GeoSignage has secured an extended agreement with RTA in Dubai to power its CMS on 100 buses, managing information and advertisements.

After intense development the last few months, we are pleased to announce two major product enhancements

  1. New Journey API – the newly released API makes integration between a partner’s passenger information system (PIS) and GeoSignage CMS super simple. Providing the API with data about the route, next stops and other journey-related information, GeoSignage CMS can be used to design the traffic information displayed to the passengers as well as associate other content like advertisement or tourist information with events like “Arriving Central Station”.
  2. Support of GTFS Realtime – with the ability to consume a GTFS-RT feed GeoSignage CMS can fetch and show estimated arrival times of upcoming stops and display connections at transit hubs. This is without any middleware software.

On Tuesday and Wednesday next week, our CEO Johan Posse is attending the IT-Trans Expo in Karlsruhe, Germany. Reach out if you want to have a meeting!
